We provide support for our Special Needs children, teens, and families during each of our weekend gatherings, as well as once a month at our Kidsfest Respite Night. For any questions about our Special Needs support, please email email@example.com.
SIDEKICK ALLEY (K-5th Grade)
Children with special needs have the opportunity to participate in our kids program while their parents attend church. Each child is matched with a trained “buddy” who accompanies them to a regular Kidsfest class, providing personal guidance through story time, snacks, crafts, and free play. We also have a cheerful, well-equipped classroom dedicated to the specific needs of children who are unable to attend mainstream classes.
SIDEKICK COURT (6TH-12TH Grade)
Each weekend we provide an opportunity for tweens and teens with special needs to participate in traditional youth-group activities while their parents attend church. Sidekick Court offers developmentally appropriate curriculum, games, music, fun, and friendship in a welcoming and safe environment. A trained “buddy” will be matched with each tween/teen who would like to attend our typical middle school (MSM) or high school (Encounter) group activities, offering personal support and gentle guidance throughout.
KIDSFEST RESPITE NIGHT
Respite Night is a night for kids with special needs (ages 2–21) and their siblings (ages 2–12). Focused attention is given to each child while parents go on a date, rest, or check off something exciting from their to-do list. Kidsfest Respite Night is usually held on the first Friday of each month from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Lakeside Church. Reservations must be made in advance each month to participate. To inquire about our Kidsfest Respite Night, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
